Privacy Policy for uWork AS and associated digital publications and services.

Work (UWORK) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We treat personal information in accordance with the Personal Data Act and the prevailing legislation. This privacy policy describes what personal information we receive and collect when you use digital publications and underlying services (hereinafter also referred to collectively as "digital solutions"), and what we do to protect your personal information. We encourage you to make yourself familiar with this privacy statement. By adopting our services, you agree to our processing of personal data in accordance with this Policy and within the framework established by current legislation.

UWORK is responsible for processing personal data in connection with the digital publication and underlying services published on uWork.com.

    When you have entered your personal profile on UWORK, you accept that we can provide this information to employers and users of UWORK. You also accept that they may contact you.


    UWORK will display the personal information you provide when you register with us and information you otherwise voluntarily provide, for example, when you create a user profile, provide information regarding your name, address, email address, phone number, age, and interests.

  2. 2.2. UWORK is responsible for processing personal data in connection with the digital publication and underlying services published on uWork.com. #

    When you are using our services, UWORK use various analytical tools to monitor your activity. UWORK also collects information from your device to monitor when you are visiting our digital solutions and information about your IP address, operating system, browser and network. We gather information about the usage and traffic on our site, such as information about login history, usage, and navigation patterns, such as, but not limited to, which pages users read, and the number of users on the site. We also collect information about newsletter subscription, including the newsletters sent to you, which ones you have opened, which email client you use, where you are when you open your newsletter, and what you click on in these e-mails.

3. Our use of personal information #

We use personal information you have provided in order to provide the services you have signed up for, and to communicate with you about these. Furthermore, we collect and process information when using our services as described above in order to customize content and target advertising based on behavior and assumptions about preferences, analyze market trends, and improve our services and to prevent and detect abuse.

    Sometimes we compile Personal Information we have received from you with information from other third party sources. This may be data such as the name and address that you have provided and information about which parts of the site you are using. We share personal information we hold about you with other companies within our group and external companies that are responsible for the technical and administrative operation of our digital publications and related services. Only authorized staff of UWORK have access to personal information. We secure access to personal data with passwords. We use advanced technology to prevent unauthorized access to our systems. We have written procedures for internal control and information security to ensure and document that our processing of personal data carried out in accordance with applicable law. In accordance with this privacy statement and applicable law in general, your personal information will only be stored as long as we objectively need it. When an objective need no longer exists, we will delete the data or make it anonymous.

6. Your rights #

You are at all times entitled to inspect the information recorded about you and may demand rectification and deletion in accordance with applicable law.

7. Changes to this privacy policy #

UWORK may revise this Privacy Policy if the way we process personal data is changed or when necessary because of changes in the law. When we make changes to this statement, we will change the revision date at the top of this page, and the amended Privacy Policy is effective as of its publication date. We will make major changes clearly visible, but recommend that you read the privacy statement regularly when visiting our digital solutions. We will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive, so you have easy access to them.
